Megalochori, the purest tradition of Santorini

Megalochori is a beautiful, traditional location, with white houses with fences, a belfry that forms an arch for people or cars to pass underneath it, a white church with a dome and a central square with taverns and few climbing plants in bright fuchsia.

The resident population of the town is around 300 people and three of the largest wineries of the island, Santo Vinos, Antoniou and Boutari are close to it.

Panagia Isodion It is the central church of Megalochori that stands out for its icons and the calendar of saints that is made up of 365 miniature figures sanctified by the Greek Orthodox Church.

La Boutari winery It is one of the most famous wine brands in Greece. The winery is located near Megalochori, among large areas of vineyards. There is an organized tour around the winery rooms that includes wine tasting.
